More about Mary Reed:"Mary Pecko Reed was born in Evereaux, France and grew up in Sumter, SC in a family of 9 children. She attended Newberry College in SC, with scholarships in three sports, graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education. For the past 17 years Mary has been teaching Physical Education from K-12th grade and has been coaching various sports. Mary also enjoyed working in health clubs as a personal trainer.

Mary is married to Tracy Reed who is also employed by the University. Besides his work at the university, Tracy is a world renowned golf instructor specializing in advanced mental game techniques to improve the golf swing and has taught over 7000 golfers in 51 countries.
Mary Reed first came to the university last year as the woman's volleyball coach. Due to health reasons, Mary hung up her whistle and found a new home in the Admissions Department.".
